Suitsupply launches Jort Summer Line

May 15, 2014 By: Suitsupply

After the successful launch of the JORT collection last fall, Suitsupply is introducing the summer collection of its in-house dandy, Jort Kelder.

The JORT collection means clothes with a story; a feel for traditional tailoring, high-quality fabrics, stylistic classiness, and a touch of fetishism. Or should we consider normal the fact that the cotton for the shirts is always of the Egyptian variety, and that a JORT suit is unmistakably unlined and fully-canvas, woven from smoothly fitting Super 140s wool with a characteristic 'Neapolitan shoulder'? Yes indeed. The wearer of a JORT suit feels in top shape with a romantic button fly, elegant side adjusters, and kissing buttons on the sleeve.

JORT heralds the summer with a safari outfit that looks smart not only in the Kalahari, but also in the urban jungle. “That's quite puzzling to those who know I don't eat any meat,” says the Jort. “I'm still an animal lover, but I'm dressed for the city jungle to fight against creases and scrap suits.”

Another novelty in the collection is the JORT travel suit; woven by the famous fabric manufacturer Vitale Barberis Canonico from extra fine merino wool, and mixed with high-end mohair. As Kelder puts it, “This is the solution for all those men you see getting out of their cars or off the plane in wrinkles. Even after being jammed for hours, our travel suit smoothens out in an instant.”

The JORT collection also features summer blazers, light cotton trousers, and a nice linen travel bag + accessories
